OPEN LETTER TO EVERY ENTERTAINER IN OWERRI AND IMO STATE

UNCLE JB

Owerri  the city capital of imo state and as stated before the acclaimed entertainment heart of the eastern Nigeria is a city filled with lots of talents mostly in the entertainment industry. It is also noted that the city holds a high level of literacy and also a high education standard, rooting schools like Futo Imsu ,Poly Nekede, imo state polytechnic , Alvan and few other colleges.
Owerri is always filled with vibrant youths and young talents with high number from students of this schools and their influence to the city at large, also the indigenes and people who dwell in the city are such entertainment lovers as you will always see them out on the weekends chilling out.
It is therefore sad to reckon that even at the high level of literacy and entertainment in the state with top radio stations like Hot 99.5 Fm and bush bars like Ibari Ogwa the state is still at a very low level in bringing out people to the very top from within its state walls.
CHRISZEE
We have mc’s ,actors, singers  of all sorts , Dancers, Dj’s who are hardworking and  fuming with talents, but it seems like an entertainer needs to break out of the state before hitting it really big and that’s what sucks .

ACHARA MAN

City’s like Enugu have produced remarkable talents in the industry in reference to Mr raw,Phyno, Storm rex, Patience Ozorkwor , Flavour  and lot more others, whilst our own talents revolve just within the circles of owerri and stay celebrated only in the town.
To think that amazing talents like Acharaman , Femi large, Climax, M black, Mr 2tall, Kozy G, Floxy Flora, Chriszee and lot more names are still trying to make waves internationally.
How long are we going to be doing the same thing over and over?
How long will our songs be celebrated only in radio stations and not peoples phones and CDs?
I am making a wakeup call to all entertainers in Owerri from bloggers down to the very last person involved. We no longer want peepz to produce their songs here in our own town and still fly back to their ports and claim the song came from their hood. Let us all change our mindsets. our producers here give excellentwork and yet when production is mentioned in Nigeria the first names that comes to mind are sleek, mastercraft , sarz and the rest of them .i believe we can get somewhere better than where we are with or without aid from the govt.
If nobody is sick, I am sooo sick of the whole thing. Soo sick of seeing good artiste remain at the same spot. Soo sick of hearing good songs stay at halts within our walls here, lets all fight this thing together “Anyi wu ndi ngwori ka anyi gwoputanu azu na ofe “ I know together we can create a better ALABA here in our own soil.
P.s  : I am only sharing a mindset therefore I apologize for any offence to anyone whatsoever
